How I Discover New Music ?

When I'm done listening to albums on my library, i start searching for new albums to listen to, My go-to option is browsing Rate Your Music or albumoftheyear. Those are very good websites for discovering mainly mainstream music while still finding underground gems, you can also rate albums and review them or you can read other users reviews (just listen to the album before reading the reviews cause you might not appreciate the album while listening to it). My second option is Youtube, NFR Podcast and The Needle Drop are great channels for discovering music, I get music from NFR Podcast for rap/hiphop kind of albums meanwhile I watch The Needle Drop for indie, rock, metal and shoegaze type of albums, i think he gives the most outrageous reviews sometimes but he stills is a good source to get new music across all genres. My third option is Tiktok, many music oriented content creators on the app post great recommendations, my personal favorites are Forrest , Nick Fry , Rap Barzzz , daymondwho , JulianMusic , Aaron Hampshire. My fourth option is Spotify, browsing discographies is the best way of finding underground music, behind every mainstream song there is a chance you might find a good album worth listening to.
